1910 AAA rally. The organizers of the rally imagined that perhaps 50 cars, with 100-150 people might be attracted. In the end, about 225 cars with nearly a thousand people showed up at the starting point in downtown Los Angeles. They traveled the 35 miles through Santa Monica and on to Rancho Malibu in about 2 hours. It was a spectacular success. (See TRR-1a,b) |
