Description |
The Malibu Lagoon Museum has a complete set of original blueprints used during construction of the Adamson House, prepared by the firm Morgan, Walls and Clements. Stiles O. Clements, who also designed May Rindge's mansion on Laudamus Hill (see AH-129.1), was the lead architect. The earliest blueprints are dated 1/9/1929, suggesting construction on the house probably did not begin before mid-late Spring of that year and may have extended into 1930 (see AH-89). Only the floor plan drawings are shown here. Other drawings are on file. The House was heavily decorated inside and out with original Malibu tiles, produced by the nearby Malibu Potteries (see AH-92). |
