The 100-foot fantail Rindge family yacht "Malibu", built in 1926 by Blanchard Boat Co. of Seattle. The Malibu, designed by Ted Geary, displaced 140 tons. In 2002, no longer in the Rindge/Adamson family, the Malibu ran aground on a rock reef in the San Juan Islands - not far from its birthplace! Merritt Adamson Jr would marry Ted Geary's daughter Sharon in 1954. |
