Frederick H. Rindge, Jr (front) and friends taking a cruise on the Rindge railway. undated, probably early 1920s. The gasoline-powered flat car was the only "locomotive" on the Railway. Aside from hauling ranch produce and supplies, and ranch personnel and occasional friends, the only people ever to ride these rails were some of the survivors of the sinking of the S.S. St. Croix in 1909 (see also DM-135) |
