Description |
Malibu Pier under construction, 1905-6. The track laying material at upper right is probably to faciltate movement of the construction crane to the work site. The Pier was initially intended to import sea-shipped materials for construction of the Rindge railway, and to export Rancho Malibu-produced products. It would later (1929) be linked to the Adamson House by a masonry wall, and a tower would be added at the base of the Pier, both reflecting Adamson House architectural elements. |
