Rindge dam in Malibu Canyon. About 2.5 miles up from the beach. Provided a reservoir for water to irrigate land below. undated. When built, the canyon floor on either side of the dam would have been more or less the same level. The initial upstream capacity of the dam was 574 acre-feet of water; by 1945, the capacity was less than 80 acre-feet because of silting in. |
